I now have a badge. The picture is actually quite good--I hope to use it as an LJ picture.

The class has not taught me a lot so far, but it has cemented some things. I suspect the amount of learning per day will increase over the week, particularly as we get into territory that I need more cementing in.

The hotel clerk had trouble recommending nice restaurants that weren't big chains. I ended up eating at By Th' Bucket, where I was pleasantly surprised to get "smoked salmon with a honey-peppercorn crust served over Yukon Gold mashed potatoes with a mustard-dill sauce" instead of a deep-fried extravaganza.

Felt pretty drained in the evening. Made some efforts to call folks in the area, but felt just as happy that none of them worked out. I just read The Case of the Negligent Nymph instead of even working on writing.

Mmm. That sounds good, says the vegetarian.

I think I missed something, though-- what's the class for? I know you work for Apple now (Macs Rule!) but I'm not sure doing what exactly.

I am a code-hacker for Apple. The class is on the Cocoa framework, a set of tools for writing OSX applications.
