The best roleplaying sessions I've had have been in our flat's living room, and in most occasions they've been the result of people sitting in armchairs or sofas roleplaying their characters. No need for tables - if you need to roll dice, you roll dice on a flat surface or on the floor.
GMing using a laptop is useful, but you can do that independently of having a table or not.l
I tend to like pushing miniatures around, and that definitely works best on a tabletop. But I'm not sure that I do want a dedicated table--the table I posted about definitely seems like too much.
Why do you want a dedicated table?
