I rarely shop on impulse. My "personal spending" money piles up in my account.

Today, though, I had the whim to check out Zen Garden, the vegetarian place on Forbes near Shady. On the way there, I stopped at Record Exchange. Within 5 minutes, I bought $50 of stuff--two Blind Boys of Alabama CDs, a CD by Midnight Syndicate, and more.

At Zen Garden, I looked at the menu, saw 'shredded heaven' without any explanation, and ordered it without knowing what it was.

This impulsiveness is unusual for me.

Yes and no. I recognized the julienned onions and peppers, but there were some inch-long wiggles that I believe to be fried julienned tofu, but am not completely sure. (And a brown sauce flavoring the whole combination.)

It was certainly good enough that I might have it again, but not good enough that I feel a compelling need to have it again.
