It was a marginal victory for the PCs, or perhaps a draw. Garrett had more hit points at the end of the battle than at the beginning, but the PCs managed to get the artifact dagger Weeping Wounds and get away. I'm pretty sure I misplayed, but it's also true that the PCs played extremely well.

However, there is a silver lining to the cloud: Prolix (who has the dagger) and Turok are alone together, miles away from the others. Prolix is very low on spells. Currently, Turok is size large, while Prolix is a normal-sized gnome. And Turok is dominated by the vampire.

More later.

Congrats on the game. Sounds like it went pretty well.

Are you going to be able to stop obsessing now?

I dunno. I wasn't able to stop obsessing last night, and I'm still unhappy about the mistakes. But maybe.

Sweet. I'm glad to hear that it was a positive experience. Following along all this time has made me feel somewhat personally invested in the outcome. :)

I didn't feel very positive at first. I'm feeling a bit better now.

I can't wait to hear about it.

Is Garrett going to make a counterattack?

He's certainly going to use his domination asset.

I look forward to seeing Prolix receive his just rewards. He was the one itching for a fight, right?

Yes, Prolix is the instigator here. And there he is with no restoration spells, two vampires hot on his trail, and a possessed half-dragon fighter. I can't wait to hear about the outcome! (That is, assuming that I do get to hear about the outcome; if no one comes back from this my character will never know what happened, though the player will be very curious.)

Two vampires? Ralph is craftier than I knew. And you'll probably hear about it...even if your character won't. I'm still looking forward to the summary...I've been too busy to check for its existence.

Turok might be size medium -- check with Kevin about whether his enlarge got blown away in the dispel magic; I thought it did. (If he's large, he would have been too heavy to D-door, and he and Prolix would still be in the corridor with the vampiric duo. Which is actually a plausible outcome; since we said we were leaving together the other group wouldn't know that the D-door failed, but also wouldn't have waited around to find out. They might be delayed a round while Prolix dismisses the enlargement.)

We played well in most respects, but Prolix' hosing our escape plan was really, really bad. I'm also assuming that Garrett isn't done with Prolix and Turok.

Turok was using reach after the dispel, so I think he's enlarged. It is true that he would have been too heavy to D-Door. I'll let the result stand, though--it doesn't matter a whole lot.

I was pretty concerned about the hosing of the escape plan too. Ralph calls it a marginal victory, I think we're doomed.

Though, how many of us were visible when we left. They cannot scry what they cannot see...
