Curses!

I set my alarm for 6, turned the volume all the way up, and finally made it to sleep at 3am.

And slept until 9am, past the 7am appointment for the scan. I had set the alarm for 6pm, not 6am.

I hate it when I make that mistake.

And it maks me sad that I am having trouble expressing my feelings without cursing. I would like to learn not to curse by the time we have kids. But it just feels so necessary to use short explosive curse words here.

Maybe i could just use short explosive words instead. Boom!

Despite getting in at 11:35, I was still the second person into the office.

This it my 2nd worse alarm problem.

Mis-setting alarms I tend to do often. Mostly because every alarm is just a little different. Is the AM light on? DOes that mean its AM or not AM, its different on different clocks!

To make matters worse, I get used to alarms and sleep thought them. (Normally incorporate them into dreams as klazons in the background of whatever dreamscape I'm in. I could be in a ball field, and alarms would start sounding and suddenly I'm in a millitary compound or something.)

I have to change alarm clocks about every other month. Just becasue I get used to it. Then of course I have problems making sure its set right.

If cursing makes you feel better, by all means, just curse. You can curse in private if you want to not-curse in front of people. But they're just words, and words only have the meanings we give them.

Me? I'm all about yelling "FUCK!" whenever I klutz into something (which is often - I am my mother's daughter). But I don't have kids. I like the idea of the short, expressive, onomatopoetic words.

CRASH! POW! BAM! GONG! BOOM!

BAM!

I once went looking for a 24 hour alarm clock for this very reason. The only one I found didn't have a snooze, which, I am loathe to admit, is a necessity for me. I have an increadible ability to lie to myself, oh yes, I'm getting up right now, and then lie there for 10, 20 seconds or more until I fall asleep again.

The other ones I found were European (doh! 50Hz power, not 60).
