Better Living Through Technology

In my continuing effort to keep you apprised of the latest in cutting-edge peanut-butter-and-jelly sandwich technology, I draw your attention to Smucker's Uncrustables. They're frozen crustless peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. (And now available in the Pittsburgh area, which the web page doesn't mention.)

Uh huh...

I meant to mention those to you -- they are available in the Giant Eagle nearest us.

I can't believe anyone would see a need for frozen PB&J. I mean, it's something you make when you don't want to cook or microwave...

Clearly, I think too much.

According to the website, the frozen thing actually works reasonably; you can stick it into your lunch bag still frozen, and by lunchtime it'll be thawed and ready to eat.

It's a little sad that someone actually thought of this. It's sadder still that someone was apparently able to make a business case for it.

They have them here is Ohio. I find myself wondering who is so busy they can't put together a P&J sandwich.
