Wikipedia has today graced me with this sentence:
One scholar researching possible links between religious myths and the red mushroom notes, "If Santa Claus had but one eye [like Odin], or if magic urine had been a part of his legend, his connection to the Amanita muscaria would be much easier to believe."

If that's not enough to rearrange your head a bit, think about what that would do for the TV specials.

So, I find myself wondering why you are researching mushrooms with hallucinagenic properties. ;)

A comment on a message in [livejournal.com profile] ursulav's LJ mentioned "Alice in Wonderland syndrome", and reading about that made me think of Amanita muscaria, because I'd recently read a Dorothy Sayers mystery in which those mushrooms and muscarine poisoning is a key element of the plot.

I can't tell if this is a boring answer or not. :-)

Not nearly as fun as the story I was telling myself, but not boring. ;)

"Think about what it would do for the TV specials"

Ok, this post already had me giggling, but that was the icing on the cake.

You are so funny, in your understated way. I love you.
