ralphmeltonI got paid today. Which is good, because our checking balance was down to $16.80 or so.
I suppose that one way of looking at it is that this is exactly the result I wanted--not bouncing any checks, but moving as much as feasible into savings. And we have gotten to the point that I'm confident we can cover our taxes. (Yay!) And eat for the next couple of weeks, too.
Even so, $16.80 in checking is a bit closer to the wire than I am totally comfortable with. Yay for direct deposit.
Saturday, we meet with the accountant to figure out exactly what the tax liability is. I hope he does at least as well as TurboTax at finding savings opportunities.
