The nifty thing about this journal entry is that I'm writing it in the living room. And surfing the web at the same time.

It's been pretty darn easy to set up the network, though there have been a few difficulties. (Setting the encryption key as hex digits has worked, but setting it with ASCII characters has not. I don't know why.)

FWIW, I have also had problems with ASCII keys. I think part of the problem is some confusion over whether these "ASCII keys" are the same as the passphrases I used to generate the hexadecimal key I'm using now. Whatever, the hexadecimal keys work, and I only have to type it in once.
