At Cook Forest, we saw both deep-fried Oreos and deep-fried Milky Way candy bars for sale.

Scotland has been doing this for years. The deep-fried Mars Bar (note: the UK Mars Bar is not the same as the US version) and, recently (I think 5 years ago) the deep friend Creme Egg are infamous.

People talk, half-jokingly, about serving them with salt and vinegar (or, in Edinburgh, salt and sauce). I am not aware whether they change the batter they used for the fish, sausage, haggis and other things, before deep-frying Mars Bars. I certainly know there are a few places in Glasgow and Edinburgh which will offer to fry anything for you.
