I'm feeling very sore today. Particularly my gluteals and the muscles near the shoulderblades whose names I forget. But my legs and lower back also have their soreness to contribute.

On the plus side, this is mostly a good soreness, particularly since it comes with a sense of some achievement. And it really reduces my regrets at not going to kung fu with Willie.

The trapezius muscles?

I thought the trapezius muscles were the ones at the base of the neck. This is between or just under the shoulderblades.

Heck if I know - I took Physiology in grade 11. :)

I took Biology in 9th grade. We had to memorize the muscles of the human body.

I was so fortunate that I was taking Latin at the same time, and could therefore make some sense of the names.

This chart suggests that the trapezius goes down farther than I had realized, so it might be that, but also indicates that it's probably the latissimus dorsi.

The latissimus dorsi!

That was my favorite muscle name EVER, and I'd forgotten it. :)

Thanks! :)

It's awful to have to ache in those places and have only manual labor to blame!
