This really sounds like fun to me, actually. 6th level or so was the point in my campaign where the characters felt powerful but comprehensible--I think there's a lot that could be done with such a game.

Date: 2007-12-11 09:45 pm (UTC)What I specifically like about E6 is the focus on developing a mechanism to doing wonderfully complex things (spells especially). Overall, I'd say that it appears that mages/priests have the best "Epic 6th" level experience. Maybe if I read the documents more in detail, then I'd know what the fighters/skill-types do after reaching epic-6th status.

Date: 2007-12-12 06:34 am (UTC)I like E6 particularly combined with ritual magic of some sort. For instance, maybe you can scribe a scroll for spells you don't know... need to cast something high level? Figure out the recipe, and hope you succeed. Or Incantations from UA.
